LATEST NEWS
I am excited to be partnering not only with the Monterey Bay Aquarium and BLUE Ocean Film Festival, but also with our National Marine Sanctuaries. I share a belief with the National Director, Dan Basta, that marathon swimming can be an incredible vehicle for showing not only one person's intimate connection to our oceans, but on a much larger scale the connection we all share to the oceans. Monterey Bay will be the start of what we both hope will become an ongoing program to spend time in the waters of our Sanctuaries in the Great Lakes, Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf of Mexico. Today more than ever we have all seen how our actions can impact the oceans. We all need to realize that small daily choices can cummulatively have a huge positive impact in protecting and preserving the environment in which I spend so much time.
DONATE NOW - Ocean Connection Initiative
I am swimming to connect to the ocean and highlight the amazing opportunities available to us all to protect and sustain the ocean and her ecosystems. Please consider supporting us in our efforts to raise awareness of the work being done by our National Marine Sanctuaries, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and BLUE Ocean Film Festival to "Inspire Conservation of the Oceans," (MBA) while raising awareness of our Sanctuaries' role as "Special places that can be vehicles for helping Americans to resolve many of the critical problems or our time." (NMS)
